$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Does anyone know if the mileage needed for an Israel flight using US Airways after the merger will be similar to the amount you needed for ElAl or for what US Air is currently asking. When I used mileage for ElAl business I believe it was under 300,000 for two tickets. US Airways is 310,000 for one ticket! Am I missing something here?
1. Elal is not bookable anymore with AA.
2. Usairways miles will become AA miles in the near future.
(So the amount will be same as AA 67.5k one way)
If u work for a living, why kill urself working?

I know about ElAl. That's why I checked with US Air. If they take on the AA numbers, as you say, that will be great. Do you happen to know when I'll be able to make reservations? I hope by the time they merge it won't be too late to get a June trip.

You already can book US Airways flights with AA miles. Not sure what your trying to do.
If you're seeing two flights for 310k miles, it's probably an Anytime award, not Saver

That's weird. I called AA and they said it was only ElAl. I'll try again. What I'm trying to do is get a business class flight to Israel at the end of June IYH. Using AA miles.

Called again. Yeah, that's what it is. There are no saver awards so it triples the miles. Guess I can't go.

I'll try to call often, but I doubt it. Plus I need two tickets.

Thanks. I don't know why I didn't think of the simple way. Anyway, I checked it out and there's nothing. I happened to look at a later date and Royal Jordanian was available!
I guess I'll check it online often. That's certainly easier than phone calls. But I doubt anything will change. Thanks for all your help.

Am i missing something or is there hardly any mile saver award tickets available on AA PHL to DEN.
I am trying to book with Avios. I only see availability for 10 days out. 2-3 days ago there was all green ;-)
Hope the merger is not screwing things up even more!

Flew from Munich-PHL today and seat recliner button was broken. Worth emailing customer service about it in hope of getting a voucher? Or will they not care and give me an apology that I don't care for?

What do you have to lose by e-mailing? Was this in J or Y? If J, you definitely should expect compensation. If Y, it probably depends how well you write the letter.  ;)

I want to say it was a Y, but not 100% sure. Is looking at my boarding pass the only way to tell? Or is there another way?

Boarding pass isn't always accurate. Take a look at your ticket.

If by ticket you mean my email confirmation from when I purchased the ticket, I don't see anything there. I bought the tickets on cheapoair.com and the email confirmation from them doesn't say anything.
