$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

and the same flight is costing 30k on alaska....

It is not a yes or no answer, I flew RJ a few times, last flight I took they opened 4 seats in J which I grabbed 3 days before the flight, best you can do is keep checking a few times a day. Good luck.

I get it to show on EY, but AA (overseas too) cant see it, nor can expertflyer.

Frankly, for all the cr@p AA gets with awards, their the only US3 that releases premium space within three weeks.

UA close-in availability has developed 21-day pricing and don't get me started on DL.

If/when it works properly. For now it’s not working for me. I tried exclusive LATAM routes for example, and it does not allow me to filter nonstop only.

What can I add on to an EY, AUH-JFK flight?

Currently put CMB in there. Would pay out of my own pocket for MLE to this destination (about a day to stay in this destination), then the way home is the aforementioned leg.

Skipped Sri Lanka based on on a few ddfers advice. And did get EY F on the A380 bh:) So, it is possible.

$75 close in few goes by ticket issuing date, not date you put it on hold.

So the mileage amount and your availability will stay the same if you pass that window (while the ticket is still on hold), however you will have to pay the $75 fee.

None at all or just no sAAver space (which is what BA can book)?

Lots of programs have “blackout dates” over the whole holiday season, thereby excluding all the lower level mileage seats.

i checked yesterday and there was nothing, just checked now and it apparently started opening up ...
