$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Cool! So if you have the Barclays USAir card and a Citi AA Plat card, you get 20% back?

I was not expecting it. Though i had forgotten about getting any refund at all, so i'm not going to complain.

If I book an AA anytime award, and later on the AA saver opens up, can I switch it, and get the miles refunded ?

Shouldn't i be getting more book if the total redemption was 360k? Wouldn't each card give me 10k?

Trying to book a flight for three people ORD-TLV.  I see a bunch of availability ORD-X-PHL-TLV ("X" representing 3-4 different cities, but the PHL-TLV segment is the same flight).  If I book 1 ticket on, for example, ORD-RIC-PHL-TLV, will that take away the availability on the ORD-IND-PHL-TLV?

no its 10 total split between the 2 cards
I guess that makes sense. One can have many cards and potentially get free trip that way.

Assuming there's more than 1 seat availabile on the PHL-TLV segment, it shouldn't be an issue.

Is it safe to book tickets for a friend or will AA accuse me of selling miles?

You gotta be very careful, just use your CC and your Email address,

generally bigger accounts are more likely to be looked on

And if I use my own CC and my own email address, all is okay? Or still risky?

And what is a "bigger account"? I have 350k. My wife has 100k. Better to use her account because it's smaller or mine is considered small too?
