$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

And if I use my own CC and my own email address, all is okay? Or still risky?

And what is a "bigger account"? I have 350k. My wife has 100k. Better to use her account because it's smaller or mine is considered small too?
They are both small i would say, but why not rather do it on the 100k acc if possible

There's no guarantee that you won't get red flagged, but if the cc and email are the same, and your acc got closed you have the right tools to fight with them

If I book J on international flight, with AA miles, do I get free baggage ? I have the AA platinum, and gold card, and the U.S. airways aviator card.

Does it make sense that there's not a single business saver availability nonstop TLV- PHL for the next 331 days, the farthest the calendar goes or I'm searching wrong?

If i put a flight on hold that's 21+ days out and then book it when it's with in 21 days - is there a $75 close in fee?

Weird. AA is pricing out STT-JFK or STT-MIA-NYC correctly as 17.5k, but STX-MIA-NYC as 12.5k. Why is that?

This means that STT-JFK will be 17.5 AA or 10 BA, and STT-MIA-NYC is 17.5 AA or 15 BA. But STX-MIA-NYC (there is no direct) would be more BA than AA according to this (15 vs. 12.5).

ETA: Figured it out. The STX dates I was looking at had the off-peak pricing.

If I put a flight on hold, can I go ahead, and book it with BA miles, or only with AA miles ?

My worry is, that then I'll lose the seats. I would rather book with ba to save on infant charges, but I would need to transfer miles from Amex/chase into my ba account. I'm nervous that in between transferring, I'll lose my seats, hence my original question regarding the hold.

You can pay to cut the line.

Gary reports:

"For $5 ChatAndCut will connect you to an airline right away when hold times are long. Apparently they ‘save a spot in line’ and sell it to you. (HT: Hans M.)"

I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.
