I'm trying to book NYC-SYD for December (yes i know im early) anyhow there are zero tickets from dec 11 till mid Jan anyone know a way around to book via a different airline using my AA miles? Or will dates be added closer to Dec?

pet peeve! it's QANTAS not qUantas $:-\$ originally called "Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services"...

but back to the point, it's best to look 330 days out for them, they do release some inventory a few weeks before flights (LHR-DXB and DXB-LHR) but they are hard to redeem on

Is there a thread discussing the value of upgrading paid economy AA ticket (PHL to TLV) using AA miles? I'm seeing on their chart 25k +$350 each way, but trying to figure out value or if there is a better way...thanks

I put an AA award on hold. IS there a limit as to the number of times I can do that? For example, if I will not be flying till November, but the trip is not set yet, can I release the hold every 5 days and then re-book it?

Yes, but keep in mind not every time will it necessarily come back to availability

As soon as it's loaded into the calendar which is 330 days out.

So if no direct flights are bookable now for this coming winter does that mean they are discontinuing that route?

No saver award for YYZ-LAX either. I had an award on hold but had to cancel because I can't confirm that I can go. Now there is nothing left! I am hoping it is a mistake.
