$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Couldn't find an answer in various threads (although I'm sure it's been asked) -- I booked an award flight ORD-DUS-TLV, with the last leg operated by Air Berlin.  How do I select seats for that last leg?  Not available on AA website and I can't find the proper "record locator" to do it on the Air Berlin website.

Thanks

Read this http://viewfromthewing.boardingarea.com/2015/06/26/american-shuts-some-major-domestic-cities-out-of-ever-redeeming-a-saver-award/

Also having trouble find Friday-Sunday/Monday availability for this summer btwn LGA/JFK-ORD. All I can find is EWR.
I can't understand why no blogger or news agency made a big fuss of this basically aa closed down most short haul /expensive routes from redeeming saver awards (or ba avios)  it's going on already for 5 days and just one article from Gary about it!!!  When American had a glitch with booking etihad first class there was far more articles

If I put an award on hold can I add legs to it within those 5 days, or I would have to cancel it and rehold it?
Yes, but it won't extend the hold unless there is still availability and you place a new hold.

Is Europe to Asia 2 via AUH a valid routing, or you can only transit the middle east via DOH?

If you book on AA metal then only taxes and airport fees which depend on the airport you are flying to. If you book on BA/IB metal then you have YQ charges as well.

You have a hold on AA, ranges anywhere from 24 to 72 hours, sometimes more. Once booked you can't cancel.

15+ days out - 5 day hold.
14 days until 24 hrs before departure - 1 day hold.
Within 24 hours of departure - hold until 2 hours prior to departure.

Not sure where you got your 24-72 hours from.

Couldn't find a better thread for this.
I just paid $200 to have 35,716 AAdvantage miles that expired in 2009, reinstated to my account!! Am I crazy or was this a good deal?

What's done is done, but could have looked for a car rental from someone and tried to apply that.

Is TLV-AMM-AUH-HKG a valid route, or I would have to start in AMM to make it a published fare?

If I hold a ticket 23 days out then ticket it 20 days out do I have to pay the close in fee?

I need the miles sooner than I would find a receipt from 09'
