$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Ok didn't call in yet, cuz want to see first if I want to change the date or cancel award altogether cuz of time.

That's possible.

Cancelled. Though they wouldn't refund the $25 award processing fee from US Airways for making the booking.

Booked a domestic flight with aa using BA avios points. I currently have the AA aviator red card which offers free luggage on AA. Is there a way for me to utilize the free luggage even when I booked through BA?

Yes. Add your AA FFN into the reservation.

Is AA less strict with overweight bags when flying business or first?

Well if the weight limit for your bags are 70 lbs and your bag is over that, I'm pretty sure all airlines aren't supposed to allow anything over that due to safety concerns.

-1 a lot of airlines will let you pay to take up to 100 pounds per suitcase

AA has 50lb limit, wondering if I can go up to 60 or 65. United has 70k limit for first class.

Booked a last min flight from TLV-PHL-LAX for 125K in J.

When we showed up at the airport we were told the second leg was booked in Y.

Any chance I can get back some of the miles ?

I had thought so but apparently not.
Flight was listed under the business anytime award tab for 125k.
There was no warning that not all the flights were in business class.
I could not select a seat (which would have let me know that second flight was Y) as it was a US airways flight.

Feel free to ask, but it'll be a waste of time IMO.

Anyone know what the AA fee is for booking EY JFK-AUH-MLE? Does $49.50 make sense and if yes, is that inclusive of a phone booking fee?

not technically an award flight question but trying to figure out paid business class change flight rules.

Choice/Choice Essential don't say anything about a change fee.
Choice Plus states: No Change Fee (fare difference may apply)
Business and First do not say anything about a change fee which makes me wonder if one applies.

Im trying to book a business class flight and then change it to a different flight after its booked (no fare difference), but I just want to make sure there is no issue changing the flight.

How does using an upgrade for miles work? If I have a regular ticket and I want to use miles to upgrade, I don't see an option? And does it confirm right away or do I still have to wait on standby list?
Thanks
