$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Anyone know what the AA fee is for booking EY JFK-AUH-MLE? Does $49.50 make sense and if yes, is that inclusive of a phone booking fee?
Should be between $42-50 in taxes per pax.  No phone fee bc it's not bookable online.  You may need to remind agent about that.  DROPR.

If you were charged a $40 phone fee, it would show up in the e-ticket email and your credit card as a separate charge and not together with the taxes.

When does AA change the availibilty for awards. Do you have to check every few hours? or is once a day enough?

Been checking AB flights on AA, NYC-DUSS and NYC-TXL and there literally is nothing available on Y, abs J, besides for 1-2 days over the next 2 months or so. Is there a better place to check AB availability, or is that just the way it is ?

Don't know if this is the right thread, so I apologize in advance if it is not.  I am trying to plan a vacation from NY to Hawaii sometime during the winter months.  My parents are in LA so I would love to use my aa miles to go to both places.  Is there a way I can book a round trip (with miles) from JFK-HNL (or any other NYC-Hawaii route) with a free stopover in LA for a few days or so on either or both ends of the trip? I also have BA and UA awards I  can use.

Thank you in advance,

Jeremy

Stopovers are not permitted. Anything over 4 hours on a purely domestic award would constitute a stopover and require a separate award.

If you book a round trip ticket with UA miles, you are allowed one free stopover as long as you want.

Any way of seeing Jet Airways availability using AA miles?

Called. Only 1 seat, need a second one. Any other points work on Jet?
