$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Im only referring to times where there were no other seats available. If there were, the discussion is moot my friend.
Someone once posted that it depends which class of service it is that it will go back, paging timt....

How does that make sense? You're always booked into the AAward class (T, U or Z)

Right, maybe one of those, Im not sure
T= Coach sAAver
U= Biz sAAver
Z= First sAAver

I cant imagine why any of those would be more apt to go back than any other.

It makes more sense that based on the overall booking class picture at the time (seats available and whatever algorithm normally goes into these things) affects the chances of the sAAver going back into inventory.

Need some advice please on which option you more experienced travelers would recommend:

Option A: MLE - HKG Business on Cathay, then pay out of pocket for economy shuttle from HKG - CNX?

Option B: MLE - SIN Business on Singapore, then SIN - CNX Business on Tiger Air? Please note will pay out of pocket purchase of ~35K KrisFlyer

A) Better to post here
B) For Option A) You can add HKG-CNX as one award as long as its within 24hours.

In one shot its a waste of time. If you are persistent it is not.

Looks like a visa is needed, can that be done right away, or has to be done in advance?
