$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Need some advice please on which option you more experienced travelers would recommend:

Option A: MLE - HKG Business on Cathay, then pay out of pocket for economy shuttle from HKG - CNX?

Option B: MLE - SIN Business on Singapore, then SIN - CNX Business on Tiger Air? Please note will pay out of pocket purchase of ~35K KrisFlyer

Do option A, and then redeem 7500 Avios per person for HKG-CNX.

So from my itinerary, BKK-HKG-CNX is messing me up. I see J availability with CX/KA on BAs site but I can't get the USA or AU representatives to see anything (even Y)!!

BKK-DOH-JFK on QR is a valid route using AA miles ?
The space shows up on BA, but when I tried putting it on hold with AA, the rep. said its not a valid routing.

I'm thinking the same. It may very well be worth the extra 45 to get the A380 F and A350 J.
However:

A) I have never made a complete global circle as I keep going back and forth from TLV-JFK so I'm gonna finally give the Pacific a shot. (thats just my own crazy thing).
B) There's no guarantee that you'll get to shower on a 3 hr flight.
C) That route isn't really being devalued by much.

What will BKK-DOH be post-deval in F?

ETA:  50k.  Yeah, not bad.

100k=10k per cal yr
Which must be raised after d-day to hold water.
