$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

BKK-AUH-JFK is one award or two awards ?

2.  Can do it on EK via AS as 1 though if that helps at all.

I need your help quickly, please. We finally decided on going to Scottsdale for mid winter. I checked for AA milesaver flights. They have inconvenient ones for 12.5 each way per person or 50,000 total. To pay for the convenient flight it's either 512.40 for both tickets (I'm gold so free piece of luggage) or 80,000 total miles. PLEASE tell me what you folks think. Which should I choose? Don't want to lose the flight (Hopper says it's only going to go up). TIA
depends how you value AA miles but you are getting a really bad value .006 cents and do you plan on traveling again using the AA miles for st else. you can get 2 round trips to Hawaiii w that probably worth close to 1500 dollars so again its up to you

I know this is the AA forum but would you take trip insurance? Another 40+ dollars? Does that usually mean if for any reason I want to cancel? Or should I go to a different forum for this?

With AS you can book it as one award.
How much for HKG-SYD in F?

Thanx. Just in case...
The redeposit fee is $150 + $25 per additional person. What is considered an additional person? Booked from same account? On same itinerary? Redeposited at same time?
Q is... If I book one ticket in J and other in F (waiting for additional F), if if if I must cancel am I subject to $150+$150 or is that $150+$25?

Is it crazy to ask AA to open up a second J award seat on a flight that 1) already has one available and 2) has no other seats booked? (I mean the likelihood of them doing it, not just me asking and them saying no.)

Probably get a better answer if you call them your self then asking here.
