Is YQ/taxes on HKG-JFK in J supposed to be ~$50pp ($77.60 Australian Dollars)? Was under the impression that it was less but that's what the rep told me when I put the res on hold today.

I asked if he was including over the phone booking fee and he said no... Still on hold so I'll ask again when I call to get it ticketed.

According to what the rep told me today, nope. If you need two separate accounts for points, then two PNRs.

That's what they told me as well, but I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. It'd be a lot easier to have it on the same PNR for cancellation purposes.

Yup, and cheaper. But I've booked through AA several times and always the same answer so seems like that's the rule.

It's always checkable on BA or calculable on ITA
