$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

You can book AMM-TLV on the same ticket if it's available. No need for avios.

So TLV-AMM-AUH on air jordan and AUH-JFK on EY can all be under the 90k AA ticket? I thought one of the routing rules is that the route has to be a published fare or something

AMM-AUH can be on RJ or EY. Yes, that'll work, doesn't need to be published.

you will most likely need to spend a day or alot of hours in AUH or AMM to catch the A380 flight at 3.20am. i can't get decent layovers tlv to auh to catch the 3.20 am flight.

Yup, that's what I'm gonna have to do from MEL-AUH // AUH-JFK, but there's enough to do to occupy another day for us.

Same here. I'll have from 10:20a until 2:55a in AUH. Not the end of the world for our first time in AUH.

between the absolutely terrible flight times, my lack of patience, non optimal routing with toddler, and my inability to book so far ahead, it seems like im gonna let this one pass

Can be very tough.

I'm shocked I'm about to take my EY flights I booked in May.

I'm doing it with an infant, that's arguably a lot easier than a toddler.

Or just stay up and sleep for 14 hours en route.

All wrong :P

Well, at least for me. I also have no idea when I'll take this trip, but I booked 11 months out = schedule changes = free change/cancellation. Booking far out allows me to book at current rates, but change date later to something after deval. All in all, makes sense for a speculative booking, even if it may cost me $175 long run.

Another valid point to book now, Emkay.

Booked! TLV-AMM-AUH-JFK-LAX. Will I get the chauffeur in AUH? I'd really like to check out DXB
