$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Lol.  They're talking out of their you-know-what.  HUCA

After 4 HUCA's with each HUCA consisting of 30 Minute waits on average successfully  got it changed.

If you want to change airports, can you get the fee waived?
Would cancelling waive fee?
ETA, i called, if there is same class available(diff airport) there is no change fee.

AA award ticket, RJ metal. Pax got a new passport with a slight change in the last name (different letter in the middle).
Can she bring both passports to the airport to ensure no issues, or better to deal with it prior?

Dealing with a country like Jordan I wouldn't take the risk of not having a proper passport
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

The passport is proper, but the new legal name in English is 2 letters different than what's on the ticket.
If I need to change the name, what's the best way to do it?

Can someone give me advice on this please...

I'm trying to book Air tahiti nui using AA miles. I see tons of space via Expert Flyer on the day I want to go. I called American 4 different times and each agent is saying they don't see any award space. Just 2 weeks ago, I had this ticket on hold, I kept calling every 5 days to continue placing on hold. Yesterday when I called, the CSR was reading the information for confirmation and had the wrong date. I asked her to switch the date (I saw availability) but she couldn't so I cancelled the reservation entirely. Called 3 separate times today to no avail...

Thanks, Next question: if I have a pre-deval booking of JFK-HKG and I want to change to JFK-HKG-SIN, will this trigger the new chart?

Yes definitely
I remember someone mentioning, that if the change is in the same region then it won't trigger the new chart.....

no you are remembering wrong. It will definitely trigger the new award chart. The only way to keep it at the same cost is to have the exact same origin and destination

Lately having issues with OW award availability. Last week it was AA showing saver award availability and BA not showing. This week BA is showing but AA not on Partner airline. Any rhyme or reason.

So I found AY availability on BA called AA because it didnt show up online. They were able to hold the reservation for 5 days. Good ole days. Trying to use my AA miles with Barclaycard Aviator rebate. Im almost exactly 10k miles short in this account which is the max rebate I would receive. Do i need the miles in my account to book and then get as a rebate or will they just book. The agent i spoke with didnt have a clue and insisted it was domestic only.

Booked ORD-HKG-BKK in CX F pre-devaluation but don't wanna fly HKG-BKK. I assume I can only drop HKG-BKK segment for a fee. If I'm getting off in HKG should I inform somebody that I'm not gonna fly that last segment or not showing up is fine? Return flights are booked separately. Thanks

Just not taking the last flight is OK as long as you arrange for your luggage not to be checked through.

Change your flight so that you have an overnight or a long layover in HKG. When you check-in, ask them not to check your bags to BKK because you need it in HKG for your overnight stay.

Get them to lend me the miles. Meanwhile they held the award which is surprising.
