$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Don’t book flights on British Airways.
That I figured out they are charging around 1000.00 per ticket. The next was 588.00. Anyway to get around this.

It would help if you told us the routing and airlines that are showing such high fees.

I went onto AA.com and looked for a Business Class flight from NYC to TLV. The 1st choice was with BA and as usual the fees were high like a 1000.00 per ticket. The 2nd I think was with Iberia and the fees were around 580.00. I am not locked in to a specific date. I  am looking to go mid Jan 2021 for 2 shabbosim. Leaving on a wed and returning on Sunday. If need be Feb 2021. Thanks for your help.

AA only charges YQ on BA and IB, look for a transatlantic flight on AA metal to save most of the taxes.

Just look at who the flight is operated by. If it isn't AA, it will probably incur a sizable cash fee.

Thanks, I figured that and was thinking AA would offer a flight through TX and direct with AA to TLV. Nothing showing for the days available to search.

AA doesn't fly to TLV, so you'll need to fly another carrier for the second leg. try UA if you're looking for a direct flight.

Just confirming that if I book award travel with AA miles I can cancel w/in 24 hours? And what happens to the $11 tax per person? And do the miles reinstate immediately?

I saw a few posts way upthread discuss this, but I believe this is something that has changed a bit over the years so I want to make sure I have accurate info. Thanks!

No, as long as all accounts you're using are with the same last name.

1) Gold members get free suitcase international (Caribbean) or only domestic?
2) If booked tickets from two different accounts can I call them to merge PNR's?
