I don't know about you, but I could use this thread!

I envision it as being a list of deals/deadlines in a wiki to which everyone can add.
We can check the list regularly (or just seeing the thread pop up may be enough!)

Who missed the Freedom Pop 30 day deadline? Who is being charged by Lifelock?
Anyone want to do the daily Starwood spin, but just forgets?

Is there anyone out there who is willing to open the thread once a day? I have an idea. Please PM.

They actually have a very cool app on smartphones(and regular phones) that do this.
I think they call it calender

ALOL!! That was a very sweet way of putting it (I'm still laughing).
Some of us don't use smartphones. This will be an INTERACTIVE calendar among DDF members.

Maybe we should have a wiki/list of frequently used deadlines?
Not sure how this is better than just let's say bumping the AP thread (sniff sniff) at the end of every month.

Things like freedompop are hard to remember because everyone has a different deadline. That's the kind of thing that should go in your calendar - it can be a computer calendar, or google calendar...

Re FreedomPop and Lifelock, I was thinking more on the lines of when the offer first comes out, knowing people are interested in just a free trial month before switching or cancelling. We wouldn't know the exact deadline, but the name would be up there for most and an approximate 30 day reminder for the first few.

Once it is up on here, THEN that is a regular reminder for people to put it on their calendars if they are so inclined to be more organized.

I hear. I still think it would work better to just bump the respective thread (FP, Lifelock) when the deadline may be arriving. People who have a freedompop are more likely to open the FP thread than this one. No?

You tell me which is easier.....to bump FreedomPop and Lifelock and Starwood Spin and a CC offer about to expire and a different CC about to expire and LM transfer thread and the Home Depot free credit report (in one year from now) and etc etc at approximately the appropriate date and then to read all the posts to sift through for the expiration date

OR just to check this thread to see for yourself a list of item and expiration date?

I hear you. On the other hand people might just say "I'll put the deadlines I have on my calendar, and finished". People who don't, might not even remember what this thread is for. And many of these things have different dates for different people. And yes, lots of people bumped the United Explorer thread when that one was expiring.

OT: I didn't give HD my credit card to sign up for the credit monitoring...

Listen - if you think this thread is useful by all means use it! You just might have to fight with people to get them to want to. Your choice.

I bought gas with Freedom right before midnight. Do you think I'll get 5X automatically or will I have to beg for it?

No idea, but Chase CSRs are pretty good about awarding compensation points so I would keep my gas receipt to show the 9/30/14 date.

Great thread! BTW, the yellow text in the wiki is really hard to read. You might want to change it to a different shade.
