So the company came back to me and told me that the hashgacha is from the chief rabbi of bolonga, italy - i asked for more details, but if anyone out there knows about this hashgacha it'd be appreciated

Definitely nespresso (I've also heard that 3rd party pods can brake some machines)

They claim to be Italian roasted and Swiss made. If that implies that the packaging and sealing of the pods occurs in Switzerland, that is where the Hashgocho is needed. Unflavored coffee in and of itself does not require Hashgocho. The thing to find out is whether there are any potential issues in the process of making the capsules.

Braking ? I don't think that's true. (Although I didn't try)
But trust me you don't want or need to try other brands if you a coffee guy. Don't be disappointed ! Lol

for anyone wanting a nespresso vertuoline machine produced coffee, but wants the liberty to using their own coffee (for hashgacha, preference or price), I highly recommend using this refillable product/technique i found on Amazon. Have been using for 2 years now and its worked like a charm!

it does look like a lot of work. However I don't use the foil tops, just the plastic and a filter. Since i reuse the same capsule for a few months the whole process is super fast and easy. Takes me 30-45 seconds. And the results are identical.

Until recently, yes. However Peet's has released aluminum pods (very important IMO) that have gotten very good reviews, many reviewers saying its on par with Nespresso. The only problem is they're priced the same as Nespresso, however they do have some good deals on Amazon from time to time.
