Anyone have any knowledge about unlocking phones? Looking to buy and possibly unlock a bold 9780 - its a lot cheaper to buy it locked and unlock it than it is to buy unlocked... Is it as simple as those sites that offer for 4 steps and 15 dollars say it is?

from tmobile or att to any network internationally..i know they all sell the unlock codes, but are the instructinos on these sites genreally legit - can u brick your phone - anyone have some experience with this - or can recommend an online seller...

I've done it, no problems. I don't see how you could brick your phone by punching in a code. If you try too many times, now that's another story.
If you could wait I'll check on my computer who I used. Btw if you look at the guys on ebay, they won't email the code- paypal requirements, probably to avoid chargebacks.

Even if you're right about the chargeback issues, these codes cost the seller (next to) nothing, so worst case scenario they don't get paid on a few.

I'm not sure what your point is. The fact is that most if not all sellers on ebay, write that they mail the code by snail mail.

I can generate unlock codes and charge a dollar to cover the cost of the program will refund if it doesn't work but all the guys on eBay r just as good so if our in a rush go to them
