Have you considered that the car outlet may be faulty. Maybe its just not giving enough power out from the socket.
Good car chargers cost like $3 to manufacture, so if to buy a $5 one in Walgreens, it won't be good...

Makes sense, most of the chargers people are suggesting here are the higher end ones from names like Verizon and AT&T not the el cheapo ones like the one I bought I'm hoping that's all there is to it.

I have a cheap charger which works fine. While using Waze it can charge from 60% to 100% in maybe half an hour.

Do you want to share with us which one or is that a secret?

I don't think it even says a brand name on it. It's probably some Chinese knockoff. I didn't even buy it; it came used with a used phone I bought on eBay.

I use this with my S3 and now my S5, it charges the phone from 20-100 % in about an hour.

report back after
I have been using it for the past few days, it seems to be working pretty well yet still slower than I would expect. Perhaps it's because I never use Google Maps when the phone is plugged into the wall so I have no idea how long it would take to charge the phone from the wall while using maps to compare it to the car.

Whats with the LED at the end of the cable? Mine seems to be going on and off at random intervals.

You need to compare apples to apples. See how long it takes to charge car vs home while not using the phone.
I just found a new supply of forks!

I've had the same issue with the led and I emailed them abt it. They sent me a replacement and they let me keep the defective one. So 2 for the price of 1!

Hell of a deal on this bad boy. As someone who manufactures products like these, I highly recommend it.

At 2.5A per port, this will charge your phone just as fast (if not faster) than the best wall chargers.

Good deal too for $7.50

If I'm only using one port, is it putting out 5amps? Is that bad for my device?
