Mercari
« on: September 16, 2014, 02:53:01 AM »
I just stumbled upon a relatively new ebay-like app named Mercari, available for both iOS and Android.

What's interesting about it is that there is no commission or listing fees, and there also seems to be a lot of users. I hope to test it out soon for something small to see if this the real deal.

Seems more from the customer POV. Honestly I care more about the selling for free aspect.

yes but if the Cs is bad then you have no customers and you won't be able to sell anything.

I understand that. Though reading through some of the complaints, it seems like some people never used ebay before or simply don't know how the app works.
This app is a major success in Japan, and it's quickly gaining users in the US.
Being featured by Apple doesn't hurt them either.

Both POVs

They're basically complaining that they're not getting they're money instantly.
Or that they can't use their balance to make purchases.
The app isn't meant for either.

As long as it's free and easy there's nothing to worry about.
