Looking for recommendations for budget oriented restaurants in the Hollywood/North Miami Beach/Aventura area. Not looking for anything fancy obviously just a budget friendly option other than pizza. Is there still a kosher Subway restaurant in the JCC? I heard there is decent kosher chinese restaurant that is cheap in North Miami - anyone know what the name is? Thank you!

Dumplings were terrible. Chinese food was slightly above average, but no real good Chinese food in Miami, maybe soho but thats about it

Yes, got twice, inedible both times. Yet I've seen people rave about them. I liked their sweet and sour chicken, best I had in Miami anyway which isn't saying much at all.

For sure nothing Amazing in Miami. SoHo Lettuce wrap with chicken and meat is great, had some other great dishes, but it's been hit or miss, so I stick with China Beach Lo Mein chicken no veggies, Fried Chicken Wontons, Beef & Mushroom Duo and General Tso Duo. Hunan Dragon wings also good.

How many years ago? I think the Browns were in the championship that year, right? Probably @CountValentine can remember for us, '64?

I've ordered catering from them before and it was awful, all the chicken was soggy in those huge tinfoil pans. Can't compare catering to a fresh made meal out of the deepfryer.

So judging a restaraunt you had one time 4 years ago as a catering order in massive closed pans probably 3+ hours after the food was cooked. Sounds fair.

There is a kosher subway.

Best bet is to just look at Uber Eats and see what looks interesting to you. Pita Plus burger is solid. Dixie BBQ fried chicken sandwiches are solid.

Nothing in Miami is cheap though. A cheap burger is still $15.
