She's not the first. At least a dozen kosher places have said they want it.
They just don't put in the effort required as it wouldn't be profitable to do so.

She's not in a kosher area, so she may get a broader clientele. I wonder if her rent is cheaper, but hoping parking is 👍

But I'll say this, plant in wynwood has great food, service, decor and venue. It's vegan and kosher.

Just spoke to Moses Cohen of Elvi / clos mesora winery

Says there's 2 kitchens, one kosher one not. For kosher only fish.

I don't know if that's new, friend of mine was going to go 2 years ago and they had to kasher the kitchen then etc

I don't see though why it would be a problem being Michelin and kosher if you're creative enough .

The economics is what anyone will pay. There's a reason though why I feel wine is a critical missing key in kosher Michelin lack thereof.

Besides for anyone actually really doing it.. but, if there are 37 global vegan restaurants, yes I do know that vegan doesn't mean kosher.. but I mean, how hard can it be for a vegan place to be kosher too? I mean it's been done

But the catch is, if a non kosher eater would pay to eat vegan at EMP which I'm sure isn't cheap. Why wouldn't they pay to eat a kosher Michelin restaurant?

Chaim yankel and his wife and 6 kids are not the intended clientle here.. Miami is a huge metropolis with a lot of foreign traffic .

Lots of Mexican Jews moved here or own places, Panama, Argentina you name it.

Most of these eat at non kosher vegan or fish places.. and many can appreciate Michelin level dinning.

There are 221 sushi restaurants in the world with Michelin stars 4 in Miami

The kashrut issue of food I think is less concern than being closed Shabbat. That's what I think makes it hard to cater to non kosher people. Though plant is open Shabbat but doesn't have a mainstream hechsher

So I was thinking that vegan and sushi restaurants mean kosher is certainly viable and doable .

Pricing isn't relevant in Michelin star world

The economics of being closed Friday 19% customers (although you can swing lunch )

And Shabbat 30% of customers, is crushing

Also Michelin restaurants usually have 100% booking so they can keep up the high expenses

I did click one place that's closed Monday and Tuesday and that makes sense to recover from crazy weekends

I'm looking into indoor activities, has anyone been to superblue miami? The pictures look cool but Im not sure what it is, and if its worth the fee. Also has anyone been to the wolfsonian, is it interesting?

Ostrow decor was fantastic, service was insane. @jj1000 a bit accurate on chairs, not terrible but not great. They installed a sink for washing .
