The son is actually a DD fan! They were always very nice to me in the past 5 years I've been buying from Harbour Bistro.

I think a lot fo their deli meat is on the same level as any top deli. Much better sandwiches than Josh's IMO.

@Dan next lunch we should do there...

I love the regular Josh's burger's, fries are way overshot but better than undershoot.

Issue with josh is slow

This goes back to the rating restaurants vs dishes.

@Dan with all due respect a top tier restaurant can't have 5 great dishes and 25+ mediocre ones. The ambiance and service is great though 3 out of 4 food dishes we ordered were ok at best.

Contrast that to Mutra where every dish we tasted was very solid (albeit with some unique flavors)

This i agree, either excell at every dish or drop it. 10 years ago I got a burger at shallots in Chicago and was meh and @Dan  said "well you gotta get the steak"

A massive pet peeve is how kosher steakhouses absolutely destroy fish.. it's basically only sushi raw or burnt dry garbage.

Fish is extremely easy to make great and doing otherwise shows you simply do not care

A burger as well is one of the easiest dishes to cook.

Mutra was great, some stuff wasn't my style and that's ok. Food was delicious.

If they have bar seating, they need a waiter behind the bar like neya has, really twisted (pun intensed ) to get served backwards

The wine list is a cardinal sin for me and no mixed drinks ?!? Is this Utah ??

Street JUST got theirs after many years of trying.

About all the other stuff, you are beating a dead horse there.... Business model doesn't support only stellar dishes, every night, therefore...learn how to order better. The end.

Curious about this "order better" strategy... Is it that you just order enough items over numerous times to figure out their best dishes or is there some way to know that an Asian steakhouses peking duck would be bone dry and inedible?

Usually by asking people here or other places what's good or not.

I don't know of any kosher restaurants that have every dish be great. Probably why there are no kosher Michelin star places.

Is there any airline or FAA restrictions with checking alcohol under a plane?

I have flown plenty with cases of wines as long as they are packed correctly no issues, i also never said I'm shipping alcohol so didn't sign anything.
