Who said there was a change of ownership? The name changed from Rare Steakhouse to Rare Bistro but don't think it changed hands. The new menu is a little more casual than the old one. Lower prices but less complex/quality food IMHO.

I've seen complaints about the length of time it takes to pick-up/return rental cars at MIA. Worth it to uber to/from airport to an offsite car rental company?

Your concern is TSA not the rent a car. Very hard to estimate if you are sitting in the regular lines at TSA. I don't think the rent a car with the train ride & walking took me more than 10 -15. TSA on the other hand can be some time. In FLL or Miami I give myself an hour an half which sounds like a lot of time but it's not unless you want to fighting your way to the front. West Palm Beach on the other hand is a joke..

I got there T-60 checking bags (thank God Westjet only cares about the 60 minute cutoff in YYZ and not in MIA) and had plenty of time

I just saw via Elan Kornblum that the Milt's food truck will not be operating in Florida this winter

From Great Kosher Restaurants email:
"Due to difficulty finding a kitchen to prep and store their food, Milt's will not be coming to Florida this year. Next year they will begin the search earlier and have the truck there in early December"

Guess I will just have to make a trip to Chicago

Small Boca Raton report. Was traveling down from Vero beach yesterday afternoon. Called Grill Time in Boca to find out what until what time lunch specials are served. They advised me that they stop at 4PM. My GPS said I would get there at 4:05. The waitress who took my phone call was exceptionally nice and took my order over the phone so that I could eat my lunch at the lower lunch special prices. She ran through the selections and I decided on the 10oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and Israeli salad for $18. I arrived at 4:07 and the food came out just as I walked in the door. Shout out to the waitress, Yonah, for the fantastic service. The Steak was perfect medium as ordered. The mashed potatoes were creamy and tasty (I finished them - didn't get bored of the taste as would happen with bland potatoes). I did not even get to the Israeli salad as the meal came with pita bread and an additional array of salads that were all tasty - could not finish them all! This is definitely my go to place for a good lunch.

I also stopped by the Winn Dixie near powerline. They have a full kosher deli in the back right of the store as well as a complete kosher bakery in the front left as you come in. There was a great selection of breads (ORB pas yisroel) as well as pareve pastries, cupcakes cakes etch... (I wish we could get these breads in Monsey. With all our great supermarkets, there is no one here that has pursued the production of different style breads.)

They also had cholov yisroel pizza - the pies I saw were prepared to take and bake at home but I think they bake there as well - maybe someone else can confirm. This seems like a great place to shop and way more convenient and affordable then anything I have come across in Miami beach.
