We decided to make it my wife's birthday dinner as we were already staying at the Fountain Bleau and didn't have the kids with us.

We figured that it being a random Chol Hamoed night required no reservation and so we headed out around 8 pm. Boy were we wrong. We walked in and were greeted by the hostess with the words no one ever wants to hear "Do you have a reservation?". We said no and were told that there wouldn't be any space available until 9:15. Luckily I saw some open seats at the bar and asked if we could head over there. The hostess had no issues with that and off we were to our seats at the bar. (We actually ended up liking it so much better because we got to chat with the bar tenders about the drinks, what we should get and continuously got to see all the different menu items come out of the kitchen and inquire about them).

To get started we ordered some drinks. My wife, not really being a fan of the alcoholic type of beverages, went for the Virgin version of a play on the Strawberry Sapphire cocktail (on the right) while I went for the "Passion Rita" which Dan has mentioned in his post about "26" as well. It was truly amazing. Cayenne pepper around the rim, a hot chili inside and filled with Jalapeno syrup it is a really different type of drink.

Next my wife really felt the urge to have some soup and once she spotted Miso on the menu, she was never turning back. (Who would for $4!?)

We then wanted to try their Sushi that we had heard many good things about. Us being not the biggest Tempura fans we went with the "Four Seasons" Roll.

It was very fresh and delicious. I would (will) definitely go for this one again at some point.

To end the evening we really weren't too sure as to what Tapas dishes to order (a main dish was always out of the question as we really came for the Tapas experience) and ended up following the bartenders advice by going with the "Sampler".

It was a very good choice that gave insight into some of their bestsellers and some really good variety in flavor when it comes to Tapas. My favorite was the Salmon Anticucho on the bottom right. Some of the best piece of salmon I have ever had. The tostones with Ceviche on the bottom left were also delicious. I'd also recommend the Edamame which had a unique and spicy flavor.

We were so stuffed and couldn't even finish every last bite on the platter. How people are able to order dessert after all this is beyond me.

We will definitely come back to this place and hope that they possibly open up a satellite shop in NY.
