Considering a stay at the W South Beach or the St. Regis Bal Harbour over a few nights of Chanukah,
Nights are over $2000 a night then but there's a little availability using points, (60k).

Cancellation period for the W ended last month (huh?)

As a Platinum, is there a chance for an upgrade?
We have a 3-year-old and a one-year-old. The room we get put into using points only allow 3 people, is that a problem?

Any Kosher breakfast possible?

And what about Menorah at the hotel?

I’ve noticed that all of the Jewish rent-a-room sites offer to hook you up with babysitters, which intrigued me. I had sort of resigned myself to only baby-friendly activities. Does anybody know how I can go about finding a reputable babysitter? Any leads or recommendations? Feel free to offer your own services

I haven't gotten to a TR yet, but the YI kiddush the week I went was sponsored for someone's birthday (so I don't know if it was unusually large, but from DDF it appears this is quite normal) and they had like 7 main hot fleishig dishes, a table of salads, a table of cookies, drinks, alcoholic drinks and challah. It was nuts. Made up for the mortgage I had to take out to pay for Fri. dinner at a restaurant.

Is sequence something to take into consideration during planning?  (I think that while The Shul kiddush is still going strong, the Young Israel is finishing up...?....)

The spread at The Shul is enough for the afternoon, for most people...

we did that last year. It was nice. Apparently some rooms can have a "manual key" opening for Shabbos.

At least the doors and stairways are non-electric for Shabbos. Doorman at front door each time we entered and exited.
