Totally agree. Any restaurant (kosher or not) needs to continually evolve, but given the high seasonality in S Florida and high cost structure (and number of critics - myself included) of a kosher restaurant, it seems to be that much more challenging...

Going to Florida for a week, I would like to stay at
any hotel on Sunny isles beach, my limit is 350 per night can anyone recommend my best bet on a hotel? I have no points, I'm a cash payer, although if anyone wants to sell me fee nights they earned I'll gladly buy if it's a deal

if you have to stay in sunny isles your best bet is trump for a hotel. That should fit within your budget. But for the same price in this season (actually for cheaper) you can get a 2 bedroom Congo on the beach in sunny isles. Search vrbo.com and Airbnb.com

Yes, we want ZTB to remain CY. It's a higher cost and often challenging to find the best ingredients, however if 50% of his customers continuously request and come often to purchase, then hopefully CY status will remain in his new location.

At that price I'd do AIRBNB or buy suite nights off someone.

The Hechsher is OK and from my visiting the store 100+ times, there is a mashgiach there.. all the greens are washed etc

I had a long talk with Zak's mother, I explained why to me, Zak the baker is more than just amazing food, I feel so proud to be in line with people who may not eat kosher and may not b jewish and her they are buying top rated kosher food, to me thats a kiddush hashem, that we are passionate about judaism, God and Kashrut enough to have such amazing food..

I dont eat dairy any more and dont care about CY, but I deff encourage them to keep it, even if it means i pay 1$ more when i visit

now that the pilgrimage to south florida is cranking up, just wanted to throw in a fun activity to do. was looking for something fun, yet not water related since it was only 75 or so. I found a groupon for Segway tours in fort Lauderdale, from Fun Center. was the most perfect thing I could have chosen. weather was blissful, and the tour guide Joe was a panic. the tour takes you around Hugh Taylor Birch park, which is a 180 acre oasis bordering the intracoastal and the beach. we even went off-road into a palm jungle, to some ancient banyan trees, really interesting.
he has all sorts of celebrities going on his tour, from Katy Perry to Shaq o'neille (who incidentally weighed too much to ride). this week he's taking james LeBron and the Cleveland cavaliers. walk in pricing starts at 59 per 1 hour tour, the groupon brought it down to 35, and a coupon for the groupon brought it down to 25!
