JJ1000's list of top restaurants and dishes in Miami:

1. Backyard BBQ (New chef in mid 2017 totally new menu): Burnt ends, 2nd cut brisket, Dinosaur Rib, BBQ Sundae, BBQ Burger, Lemon/Apple/Smores desserts.

2. Fuego: Flatbreads are a must, then the back ribs, pastrami egg rolls, smores dessert, perfect date drink are good. (Update March 2017, the app chef and bbq chef isn't there anymore and the quality has been spotty from recent reviews.)

3. 26: Sushi pizza is  a must I prefer it with baked salmon, then the Passion Mojito, Sushi Teriyaki tempuraed, Cilantro Aioli dip and truffle fires, all of their soups are good.

4. Zak The Baker. Menu changes too often to recommend stuff. Not Cholov Yisroel.

5. Kosh: Chocolate souffle and korean beef with extra sauce are good.

6. Foozo: Foozolis, the caprese foozoli with extra balsamic sauce, their pastas are good as well.

Also notable unique places are The Freeze which makes ices, serendipity makes ice cream (there is one next door to ZTB now), and Miami Beach Chocolates turtles and bark.

Just don't order high end foods and backyard can be normal price too. Or go to any milchig place. Kosh,  Backyard, Harbour are all similar range.
What's the difference between Harbour grill and Harbour bistro?
Between all these where would I get the best value fory money ?

So here is my mini review from backyard, was 3pm so I took the BBQ burger. The burger itself was nothing major, a bit to the dry side and not major tasty. The pulled brisket on the other hand was 8/10, so the whole thing together was very good. I ordered chicken poppers, I thought it's these Chinese poppers they even gave option of sweet chili sauce and some other sauce, was really in the mood. After 10 minutes he brings out a portion of popcorn shnitzel. Same thing I can buy in any take out. 6/10, Misleading name.... However for the dessert, I took the lemon meringue was really delicious, 9/10 real strong fresh lemon taste, if you like lemon you'll love it, I added a scoop of ice cream together its really delicious. The lemon cake is very sweet so together with the cold ice cream it's a match made in heaven. Just be ready to pay $4 for a scoop of parve ice cream. All in all was okay however maybe the regular chef was not there yet and in any case I'd come back next time for regular dinner and try out their smoked stuff.

Yup, need to go after 5pm next time to have stuff made by Mendel.
But the desserts there are great at any time :)

Amazing but just a bakery really. Also not CY. Good plan is go to ZTB for brunch, walk Karo under wynwood, and then go to the deli for lunch.

If over half their menu is dry aged items I'd say it's a focus. Btw the Texas Brisket sandwich was super dry, had to add lots of sauces to eat it. Overall not impressed. Although I had high expectations.
