Looking for hotel to escape the ny cold.
For chol hamoed , we need a chilled ,relaxing place, no need to be near anything as we just want to sit on beach and chill. I don’t mind driving out 1-2 hours (landing in fll) I have ur or I can buy certs traded here, or worst case pay cash 🤣
Quiet and secluded a huge plus...
Any help would be appreciated!!

It’s no St Regis, but like you said, for the free night cert, it’s a great value. I also found the hotel staff to be extremely accommodating.

Not even close. Pushed hard for an upgrade & even then barely got one. Had issues with valet more than once. & the room itself was really nothing special & a bit tired - knob covers on sink & shower missing, bathroom door handle coming off… & other random annoying things - late checkout, not getting a credit they told me I’d get…

Not even close. Pushed hard for an upgrade & even then barely got one. LOL I guess we are having complete opposite experiences...got an excellent room with nice balcony. Pool staff seems to be very nice, room is nothing special but is nice. Chef at breakfast also is really nice and tries very hard to be accommodating.

Yea was pretty empty, but its the off season now, so its understood.
We went at 8PM. Mendel even came out to each table to see how everyone was doing.

I think this place tops Izzy. Service alone makes it a pleasure to be at.

LOL I guess we are having complete opposite experiences...got an excellent room with nice balcony. Pool staff seems to be very nice, room is nothing special but is nice. Chef at breakfast also is really nice and tries very hard to be accommodating.

When I was checking in they didn’t want to give me any upgrade at all, said they are booked solid, which got me pretty annoyed because I had checked their website & every single room was available for booking. After pushing I was told even if we have anything you’d have to pay, & then he agreed to put me in a partial ocean view without balcony because as he said it’s the same category. About a week before my stay I had gotten an email from the hotel listing the benefits of being a hyatt discoverist, one of them was a free upgrade upon availability. When checking in they didn’t even acknowledge the fact that I’m a hyatt member & I was told there’s nothing available (which didn’t seem true) & even if there was I’d have to pay. Not too impressive.

Btw how’s the valet? I called for my car the other night at 6:45 & it didn’t come until about 7:10, the next night I pulled into the hotel at about 11:30pm & there’s no valet around, front desk tells me there’s only one valet tonight & I have to wait for him to give him the keys they can’t take them. That’s what u get for a $44 valet charge.

Truth is I can still go on with my complaints, but I think it’s pretty simple - don’t expect much, & with encounters with the staff there are times you’ll be happy cuz they have a decent staff but there are times requests will be ignored & things won’t be done the way you want cuz they don’t really have enough staff to run smoothly at all times.

I didn’t rent a car so had no experience with valet.
To be honest the check in girl was probably the rudest person here, but everyone after her that k met was super nice.
Will go to the breakfast today and check it out. If it isn’t anything decent, i’ll walk to tasty.

Agreed. That’s what I said to myself after checking in. I just feel bad for anybody who pays over $200 for it. & as I told the front desk when I had issues with valet, it’s not the biggest deal but if I’m paying $44 for it then it better be good.

I didn’t complain the first time, second time I did & they said they’d waive one night, & of course when checking out I was charged & had to ask for my credit. I’m still deciding whether I should send hyatt an email or not.
