I won't be having a car on my trip and will be ubering from FLL to daven in North Miami Beach at a late minyan. I was thinking that while I daven, my wife can shop nearby (walking distance) for Shabbos. Is this even a possibility- or are there are no options for takeout food near the Shuls?

You can try Englander, North Miami Beach take out, text for a menu and you can email your order and pick it up before Shabbos 305-502-4611
Khal Chasidim does not always have a late Minyan, it depends on how busy it is, they have a "scheduled" 9:15, Shaarei (R' Shapiro Shul) has 8:30, Chabbad usually has later, and Magen David has a "scheduled" 9:45 Minyan

buddy its a long walk but you could walk from bmnmb / kahal chasidim to sfl kosher, like 10 min walk. she can just uber there and you uber to hotel and pick her up on way.. or just forget her because wives are not so great

A 10 min dangerous walk.
Especially during the holiday season.

I have a dilemma. I'm going to to Miami Beach for Yeshiva Week. My grandmother lives on 63rd and collins. Being that we want to spend Shabbos with her, I have been searching for options where I can stay with my fam & in laws (4 Adults, 2 kids) near 63rd. I came across options at the Alexander. Homeaway had apartments in the $275 range, while Hotels.com has them for $185! Clearly, by renting from Homeaway, I'd seemingly get a better apartment that is self maintained. Renting a room from Hotels.com means that I get a random room (which may or may not be renovated). Here are my questions:

1) How is the Alexander in general with the construction going on?
2) Should I take a risk at $185 (which comes out to almost half of Homeaway with all of the fees) from Hotels.com, or go with Homeaway?

I don’t know the price but I’ve stayed at the Churchill Suits at the Monte Carlo a few times.
We really had a good experience.

Staying in the Grand beach Surfside for Shabbos ... Anyone have experience with that? Anything i need to know as far as the hotel on Shabbos?

Yes multiple times.
Doors have keys. Front door is not electric. Full kitchen, one bedroom and one living room area with a pull out bed. Two nice pools and beach access with chairs etc on the beach.
There is a small Chabad a few blocks south in the Casablanca hotel.

You can get a lot of Shabbat take out at krudo.

They have like 10 types of herring, not my thing but people sweat by it.

They also have all types of cooked fish and fish dishes, morrocon corvina balls, spicy charmella, paella etc dips and what not

Also platters, capracio, seared spiced fish, gravlax.

They also have pastries and bread from monarch bakery. Good stuff.
