We made reservations for Backyard BBQ during Yeshiva Week last year. The food and service were great — it took a bit longer because it was packed, however perhaps they have made more improvements this year.

No great chinese in Miami. SoHo has great lettuce wraps, I like chai wok's crispy garlic chicken, china beach lacks flavor usually.

I don't think anyone can deal with being that busy. That said locals just don't eat out this time of year

This is ridiculous... I wanted to book 5 days but Saturday night wasn't available so I decided to settle on 3 days and then when I went to book Wednesday was no longer available... I keep checking but basically ocean view rooms are sold out.

If I book all the available days separately, if other nights open up would they let me combine and get the 5th night free?

Should I just settle for the Ritz?

Does it make sense to stay at the Ritz for Shabbos? How long is the walk to the Shul? Is it within the eruv?

There will be Friday night meals right next to the Ritz soon at Chez Rene Et Gabin, also there is a mincha and mariv minyan on shabbos at someone's house not too far away.

I’m there now, and it seems like half the hotel is Jewish

Was at backyard bbq last night. They were only accepting guests who had reservations. Food came out too quick, mains at same time as apps. When brought back mains they were cold, took much longer to bring replacement. Didn’t refill water even once. Sitting on top of people at table next to you. Took 10% off bill. So not sure they can handle the crowd. Food was delicious, but service seemed a little understaffed and pressured, but they were understanding of that.

this is one of the peak weeks it is to be expected. You would think the restaurants would learn by now but they don’t.

What should they do ? Go to a restaurant twice the size bc of one weeks business ? They have limited amount of room

Don't know if they can. They can't open a restaurant big enough to hold all peak week customers and then have the store at 20% capacity 10 months of the year.

This is helpful. When we go during peak week we will try to stick with less courses.
