My computer has a HDMI port and a DVI port, so I can use one of each.  Some might also have VGA.

Check your computer first to make sure that you are buying a monitor that you can plug into it.

You can easily plug DVI into HDMI or vice versa with a really cheap adapter that contains no electronics.
