Turkish Miles and Smiles
« on: September 19, 2014, 10:21:45 AM »
Applying for a new account and cannot figure out their application process.  There's a separate "city" box and "district" box that must be filled out.  The pull-down men of cities doesn't list my city, nor many other cities in the USA.  And we don't have "Districts" in the USA.  Anyone figure out how to get your address inputting correctly?

Any way for a non Turkish citizen to get miles other than flying?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

The only other way I know is to buy them - you can buy up to 50,000 per year. Usually not worth it, but I needed 1-2K for an award once and this option came in handy.

Has anyone had any experience booking an award ticket with turkish miles? Ive read you have to go to the ticketing office to be ticketed personally.

The miles and smiles partner award chart has north America to middle East in business at 40000? Am I reading this right?

I don't think so: I see 94K r/t.

Maybe you're looking at the upgrade chart or something?

If you find availability that is a good value. They do charge YQ though, even on United.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Tried a dozen dates for ORD-OGG and EWR-HNL that UA.com showed X space. TK couldn't find a single one, though they did find some connections via SFO.

Anyone actually book a longhaul ticket to HI?

HUCAd 3x. They can't see any HI longhaul from EWR/IAD/IAH/ORD.

DEN/LAX/SFO work though.

Does anyone know if untied saver is matching to Turkish airlines? didn't work for me when I tried booking someone to Indianapolis and logging into Turkish using the star alliance link Dan posted,  even though united showed saver.
