Restoring backup to iPhone 6

I just got my iPhone 6. I had it set up as a new phone since I had issues with the browser crashing on my iPhone 5 and that's the phone that was backed up to my computer. Problem is I can't figure out how to manually add all my data/photos/contacts/notes that were in my old device back on to my new one without doing a complete restore which I don't want to do.(since this will bring the browser issue along with the restore)
Any ideas?

What is the procedure for restoring to the 6? I didn't get one yet but planning on it. Can you copy everything over? Also don't understand what DanH is saying.

I updated to iOS 8 but all my pictures from previous iphone on iOS 7 not showing it says I have to update those devices to iOS 8 first, I don't hav them anymore! Anyone can help me get my precious pictures back!
