Jax is quickly becoming a happening place

House of dog a fleishig restaraunt opened a few weeks ago and the food is pretty good. There is also a milcihg takeout called tomato crush which opened a few months ago. He is cheaper and the food is supposed to be pretty good.
Etz chaim is a regular Ashkenazi shul and their minyanim are very punctual. Minyan at chabad is much more touch and go and I don't know how often they actually have 10.

Near the shul/food is a ramada and Laquinta but plenty of other hotels are nearby.

Thanks for replying. I'll continue to ask in public so others can benefit as well.
1)is Jacksonville Beach nice? I was in Miami, Bahamas, and Santa Monica. Is it comparable?
2) my work place for the week is an hour and half from jax and two from St Augustin. I would travel the extra half hour each way every day if it's so much nicer. Is it?
3)kosher grocery in jax? Which type of products? Kedem cookies and grape juice or more options?

I can't answer the first two questions I just dont know. St. Augustine is more of a tourist trap than anything else. Although it is exciting that frontier just started flying into there and the airport is even closer than jax.

Kosher grocery has basically all the staples including cholev yisrael milk, cheese, usually cream cheese etc. there's deli and frozen stuff too.

Doing a Jekyll Island trip in a couple of weeks, flying into Jacksonville. Hard to find good results on the internet, anyone know what the deal is with Kosher food in the area?

There is one fleishig restaurant downtown called Gili’s. The food is great.
There is nothing milchig. You can buy most kosher items from the local Winn Dixie.

I think the Pizza takeout changed owners, Gilis is still open. Winn Dixie has the most kosher food selection including CY. Other than that I believe its mostly the same.
