And why exactly am I hoarding close to a million AA miles ?

Even selling it somehow will be worth far less now after such news.

Terrible.

Why not hoard SPG? It transfers with a 25% bonus into AA........................ IF you love AA so much............

AA ended their interline agreement with LY for domestic feeders, but not for European connections

Does this mean that we'll still be able to use AA miles to take an AA flight to Europe and then connect to El Al  from Europe to TLV (also using AA miles)?

The AA leg to Europe remains the same.

The El Al leg will only be possible via AA miles if booked & ticketed by Oct 31 2014.

No changes!!! How about cancellations? I asked an aa rep yesterday about change fees as I put a hold on an award and she said  none lol

wait, im confused, you are saying that if i ticket an AA award on elal prior to Oct 31, but something comes up and i want to cancel the AA award, i wont be able to get the miles back? (paying the cancel and redeposit fee of course).

that doesnt sound right...

The question is, does this mean AA are planning to start their own flights soon?
Even if they do that it's still a huge loss for Euro-TLV connections.
The 30k AA business award Euro<>TLV was really useful.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

If this was triggered by LY, let's hope they don't follow with canceling the Amex relationship.

In recent Ami, the VP complains they need partners, they have AA but AA wants to stop...

Would like  to know that too, especially in my case I have booked prior to their announcement but may need to cancel. Anyone know? What happened with other breakoffs(UA-US)?

Oh, I thought that LY want's to stop. Misread.

It sounds funny, why would AA wanna stop such a partnership? Didn't it bring them in extra revenue?

AA pays out lots of money for LY award flights but LY doesn't pay out a dime for AA award flights.
What's your surprise?

Either way no way to know who cut if off.

I thought that the airlines pay nearly nothing for awards?

BTW was there a way to redeem Matmid points for AA flights?
