How on earth can anyone know the YQ for a flight that hasn't even been announced or loaded into a GDS yet??!!
The best estimate would be the YQ on the US PHL-TLV flight.

I seriously doubt AA will offer F on a NYC-TLV route, but if they do, that'd be one of the only routes I'd actually redeem for AA F.
U wouldnt spend 7.5k on a flight like nyc-lax ?  (I'm not saying it is worth it, just wana hear your opinion)

It isn't 7.5K.

It's either 32.5K AA (20K more) or 37.5K BA (25K more).

I was reffering to 7.5k for first class which is 32.5 over  buisness which is 25
U mean to say u wouldn't even pay the 12.5 extra for business over economy ?
Your original post was reffering to first over business not over economy

My initial post was talking about redeeming for a hypothetical AA F on JFK<->TLV.

Such a redemption would cost 90K AA, which is 22.5K more than J (67.5K), and 45K more than Y (45K).

If you're asking me whether I think AA F on JFK<->LAX is worth an additional 7.5K AA, that begs the question... that I'd already be redeeming 25K for J :)

In the very large majority of circumstances, that assumption is incorrect, so, for me, it'd be: "Is it worth an additional 20K AA to fly AA F on the A321T", and for me, the answer is decidedly no.

However, if I were already redeeming for J, I'd probably splurge once to see what it was like.  An even better idea, which is what I'll likely end up doing, is simply appending it to an international F redemption and getting it for free ;)

Now I get it ! It didnt really cross my mind that a heavy ddfer will be sitting in economy, even if its not really worth the points
On the last point u stated that u will try to get a free flight on f, do u know if its possible somehow to stretch the 24 hr limit on the stopover with aa ?
I have a transatlantic flight on a Thursday with aa and wont be able to go b4 shabbos to la or something.

I've never used miles for J/F on a domestic US48 flight.

From CLE there is certainly no reason

And here I thought u were talking about the $7500 retail price… And yes I think it would do fairly well to Israel. More Jews fly revenue F than any other demographic.

At the ORD DO we went to in 2012 Brian Znotins said EWR-TLV was very successful in Y bookings but pretty poor in J bookings with an outsized percentage of upgraders/mileage users.

I know  :)

I'm sure at Delta where they don't have last seat availability the situation is better.
Anyways I think the issue is in the large J cabin which requires either upper middle-class or heavy business in which Israel is lacking. Straight up rev F is usually HNW and thus Israel should be better than most cities. צא ולמד how many people buying AA's transcon F are Jewish…

How do you know they're paying cash?
If these people existed then why doesn't LY fill its F cabin? Granted it's a shvache F, but people who have flown it seem to think it's the best there is to TLV.

I think AA F is a real long shot. Not that I wouldn't mind being surprised, but I just don't see it in the cards especially with F being phased out of most markets with the 772 reconfiguration.

How do you know they're Jewish at all? it was a guess.

IME LY F is much fuller than asian and European carriers. And thats even with the inferior seat.

Check TLV-NYC Sat night Oct 18/19. All 4 flights are F0 and J3-9.

I agree that I can't see AA F coming but just pointing I think Israel is actually a storng F market. Elal seems to be doing very well and that's with a terrible seat.

Perhaps the busiest travel period ex-TLV of the year? That'd hardly be representative.

That's like looking for a hotel room during Comic con.

Sure it is. Why is F sold out while J is wide open? It proves my point that F is doing better than J on that route, unlike most other airlines.

My point was not that they can sell the 36 seats, but that can fill up F faster than J

No go.

Many very affluent Jews fly to TLV for Sukkos, many of whom often fly revenue F, period. The fact is, there is a large influx of those types of pax in TLV for Sukkos, all of whom want to get home afterwards.

It's the only non-stop F service; it's LY; and it's a scarce resource; of course it sells out.
