I find it interesting how different stores dealt with the same issue. Three stores charged me one time too many.

Store A refunded the $10 back to my card.
Store B asked if I wanted the $10 back or if I preferred store credit.
Store C just told me they charged an extra $10 and left it as store credit (no option of a refund).

Store I helped on M"S, the person in error gave me the CC # he wanted me to punch in wrong (he gave me a card that was already punched in 3 times) just gave the guy $10 cash on the spot. No reason to play games with customers.. Treat em right & they'll come back.. At least thats my mindset..

One store accidentally charged me over 1000 on single transaction and then voided it later that night (as far as I can tell). However, when i went shopping there this morning the extra 1000 credit was still on my account. Now I need to follow up with them to make sure that they remove it.

I left my card #s. Any card accidentally overcharged, I went back to adjust the gift certificate. The store paid the swipe fees; I can pay for an extra $10 credit myself.

I see like 3.For each card in there. For the Amazon on last year I only had one, and yet still got all the credits. As it has been said before, take a deep breath wait till the end of the week.

I accidentally swiped a card on the amount field. Yup, ran a charge of 3727xxxxxxxxxxx.xx.

You see 3 because it's per card, not account. Same with Amazon 2013.
