He can call amex and tell them the story. They will gladly send replacement.  The sooner the better. If he waits too long they will ask all kinds of security questions.  Talking from experience

thats what I told him

They question, the way I read it, was not about potentially passing or not or if you can add legit names vs not but what might trigger an FR. There seems to be no specific answer AU-wise as to where the territory goes from safe to less safe. I agree 100% that if the people are real, and the income is there, you should not have any issues in keeping the accounts open. EVEN if they do FR you.
Correct. No specific amount,  but if you keep it reasonable as compared to your average cardholder (which likely none of us do)  should not raise a red flag

If your income is legit and all the au names are legit,  that is fine.  And if you get fr,  why would you have a problem

how will amex know if the au's are legit or not.. I personally only add family.. but if you dont add a ssn I have no idea how they would know who is real or not..

I know plenty of people who have been FR'd with plenty of AU's and that wasnt even a question... it was all income & only income related..

True.  Legitimacy does not affect fr,  only being reasonable.

I would think legitamacy would help of questioned during fr

Even if the aus are not real people as long as you can pass an fr it's fine. I never heard of anyone being shut down due to unexplained aus

the last thing on amex mind is the au's.. they care about the credit line & whether it is justified or not.. Now.. if they decide to one day really figure out if every au is legit or not.. thats their call.. I am not here to give them ideas..

Exactly. And until that day comes, as long as you can pass an fr, add away

I'm curious as to why it seems that everyone (shomrei Shabbos) wants to add scores of AU's. How do you manage to use them all on SBS between Shabbos & midnight? Remember the lines last year? And the stores limiting the number of transactions?
To me it seems like that is the biggest challenge.

2) its all about making pre SBS preparations.. read my DDF signature..

I had some charges right after 2AM. It took longer than usual for the credit to post, but eventually everything was credited.

Terminal that is was swiped at had the time running 5-10 minutes behind so I had receipts for all charges before 2.

Illogical. Plenty of other AMEX promos that had registration cutoff before the purchase cutoff.

Only makes sense for it to be at least 11:59pm PST, otherwise AMEX would have a lot more coding to do for it work properly for those on the west coast.
