Any way to find my CVV if I don't know where my card(s) is?

AmEx knows it, but you won't be able to get them to tell it to you. Merchants that charged your card previously may have it if they violate the rules by keeping it, but they will not admit that to you by providing you with the info. You may have it if you wrote it down. I suggest either of the following:

• Shop at a merchant that does not require it. They can put the charge through without it and only include it when requesting authorization in order to protect themselves.
• Order a replacement from AmEx. If you think you really lost it and you tell them that, they will probably change your account number (in which case you should register the new number for SBS). If you are sure it's in a safe place where no one else can find it but you just can't locate it, you may have to tell AmEx that the magnetic stripe is damaged or something like that so that they will replace the card without issuing a new number.

Just curious can anyone give me a quick synopsis on how gift card registry makes their money?

no thy buy for 25 for 20 and sell it for 25 and she will not give any discount even for big spenders i would have used GR for jewelry but i made a deal directly with my jeweler instead

And to answer your question, she's merely offering this.
She's trying to be accommodating. She already renting 20 or more iPads and card readers. Plus workers. Also making appointments and taking walkins.. She reached her limit and tons of people are still calling, so she offered this service for those that are interested.

I don't think she makes that much from the cards, prob less than 10% based on what I've heard (take off CC processing fees as well). She is already providing over 20 terminals, Each terminal cost $ and shes paying workers to man them.  This is a service. For somebody with a lot of cards that's making several thousand dollars it may well be worthwhile. If its not worth $50 for you to swipe in  the comfort of your home, your welcome to go to the store. She also told me her processor told her not to take lists. Why whine about a convenient  offer.

Did you ask her if her processor will have issues with 3 charges of $10, or if they recommend doing $10, $10.01 and $10.02?

While it sounds weird to charge $50 to get to swipe cards on their account. It seems as though she has reached maximum capacity and it isn't worth it or possible for her to add more terminals. So she's offering this to anybody who thinks it's worth it.
I think we should get 10 people together and each chip in $5 to rent a terminal. If it' setup before shabbos I bet we can split it between even more people
