You get the value of the card!! It's the store that you spend it in that might not get full value when they cash in

so it's the store that pays the 10% to the GC makers? OK, I see...  But, the GC makers still need to pay the 3% Amex fee, so who covers that? The store/restaurant?

Gift Card Registry pays swipe fees. But they pay the stores less than the face value of the card, and the difference is their profit. Regardless, NPGS does not accept gift card registry. Personally, I'd rather put my SBS $ towards groceries that I'm anyway buying than on gift cards to other stores. I can always take the money I would have spent on groceries and spend it elsewhere, with  no gift card restrictions. Putting the money on my grocery bill is as close as I'm going to get to putting it directly back into my pocket.

hmmm.... another good reason to ask npgs to allow DDFers to run some registers... can they open at 7:00/7:30?    They'll get lots of early 'cash flow'.

I just spoke to kosher taco in lakewood,they are offering a free side dish again this year & he said its per swipe not cc.
meaning one card nets $30 + 3 sides...seems a bit too good to be true,gonna huca tomorrow.
If so that would make it a better deal than getting 30% off kosher taco gc's at greatkosherdeals imho.

that's one issue.

The other issue is that this is the first year that it's TRIPLE swiping needed. That's much more work, more swiping, more authorization times, and more receipt paper rolls, etc....
