Starts tomorrow. Must sign up by 10/31, lasts as long as your service does. Applies to all plans of 15 GB or more.

Current 15 GB data plan costs $30 more than 10 GB, so you'll have to determine if it is worth it to you (to up your data plan to get the deal).

If you are on the 10GB family share plan, you can call AT&T Wireless CS and ask them to double your data to 20GB for free...

Just did it with no issues...

plan is for 15GB plans and higher. You wrote you went from 10GB to 20GB, I called twice, they wont do 10GB to 20GB, they wanted to upsell me to 15GB.....

Call retention and simply say that a friend got his data doubled from 10 to 20.  They all know about it and will make the change hassle-free...

Just did it yesterday - was painless.

I called twice as well and they told me there was nothing they could do.

I called twice as well and they told me there was nothing they could do.

Strange.... I didn't think it was a YMMV.  Here what I did...I called 1-800-331-0500 (Or 611 from your mobile phone), Pressed 0, and then pressed 3 for Cancellation. Just told them a friend had recently had their data doubled from 10 to 20 GB for no additional charge and wondered if they could do the same for my account. No argument, they just did it. It took longer for them to ask the survey questions at the end about would I refer a friend to AT&T than to upgrade my data!

They wouldn't give me the free 10 gb but because of an employee discount they bumped me from 10 to 30 gb for an extra $7 a month.
