My 2nd time I'm experiencing this;

I reported an Amex card lost so they sent me a new one with a new number, I then charged the old card (which I reported lost) and the charge went through,
How come?
And again now, this is ridiculous!

Amex will allow a chanrge that went through before to go through again. They have a feature which I find neat, you can BLOCK certain merchants if you want.

I canceled/closed (permanent!) one of my cards (not an AU)  and a week later I attempted to use the card and it went through without any issues..  THIS IS INSANE!
The only way to prevent new charges from going through is by freezing the card.

The same applied when I activated the new card and still used the old with older expiration date

Yiddish local businesses can hire employees of questionable character.
