Question
« on: August 15, 2008, 12:12:14 PM »
Here's the situation for all of you mathematical folks.

I spent 20,000 thank you points + $27 for taxes for a United flight to LA. Ticket was $395.

I am canceling my trip.

Option #1) forfeit the 20,000 points + $27 and ignore the ticket.

Option #2) United takes 150 from the 395 ticket and issues me a credit for 245 to use by next year.

What to do?

Your options are to get a credit for $245 or not, why wouldn't you?

What was I thinking. I guess I misinterpreted my own thoughts.

I thought 150 was out of pocket. Thanks.
