Definitely try the airline... The sooner the better IME with these things. Also is it a completely different name or a few letters off?

Klm-delta told me I have to speak to the travel agent, and vayama tells me that they can't do it bec. The airline doesn't let. I'm just going in circles. It's a completely diff. name.

try conference calling. Call the one with the longest hold time first, and then ask if you can conference in the other party.

I had the exact same seniro 3 yrs ago where i booked a ticket with vayema and  i was flying with Lufthansa. Vayema said buy a new ticket because they want more money and Lufthansa changed it for me without a problem.

Interesting. In my case, KLM-Delta is telling me that vayama has to do it. As of now, vayama sent in a name request with a copy of the passport to the airline, to change the name. Hopefully they'll do it.

A family member booked a non refundable ticket on vayama flying AF, and KLM. he put in the wrong last name on the ticket. vayama does not want to let him change the name, and insist on making him buy a new ticket. Is there anything else that can be done ? Should he call up the airline themselves to add the right info. onto the ticket ?

So after spending countless hours on the phone, trying the few ideas I got from ddf member, I'm still stuck. Neither vayama, or Klm-delta want to change the name on the ticket - not even a single letter. If anybody has any other suggestions, so not to send $750 down the drain, please help. Thank you.

Not sure how this works, but who checks your ID when flying international?
If it's TSA, just get a refundable to get you past security. Then cancel the refundable, and board your real flight. Make sure it will work for the way back as well, and no, I will not bail you out of a foreign (or domestic) jail.
No idea if this is feasible, but just throwing out an idea.
Again: I take no responsibility for this.

I guess either times have changed, or Lufthansa is much less strict then delta is.

I had once AA (Avois ticket) changed the "last" name in full, and once where they didn't want to "swap" 2 letters

Maybe I'll try delta again tomorrow. Amazing how one typo can cost so much $. Big Mussar Haskell too.
