Booked a Swiss ticket on Aeroplan

Made a mistake instead of Klein made klien

am i okay?
I'd be surprised if anyone actually noticed that mistake.  But even if they do, it shouldn't be a problem.

We have a ticket with Royal Jordanian JFK-TLV booked through Orbitz, put a first name "Shamya" instead of "Shmaya". Both deferred the task of fixing it to the other and both said originally to wait till it was finalized and couldn't be cancelled and it can be fixed.
Now RJ says they told us we should have cancelled and rebooked (for a higher price of course), so it is our problem.
Any thoughts?

Most airlines should allow you to fix typos like that. Try calling again. Try getting Orbitz to call and fix it for you.

Most checkin agents or TSA agents wouldn't see this mistake, and even if they do, it shouldn't be a problem.

Totally depends on the airport.

YMMV

In LGA security made an issue where the name on the ID was Sarah (maybe Sara, dont remember exactly), and the ticket said Sorah. Almost missed the flight going back to checkin.

+1 JFK they made me go back to check in and get a new ticket cuz they wrote sholo  instead of Sholom

Ticket is in maiden name, but ID has married name. on the outbound TSA delayed them...supervisor...sign here...
After delaying her, she was finally allowed through.

For the way back, is there any way to avoid this hassle?  (besides for getting a fully refundable ticket)

Call the airline, such a small spelling error should not be an issue.
Make stuff happen.

not in my experience. But doesn’t hurt to call to change.
