or if u want to include a stop over JFK-CDG (open jaw) FRA-EWR (stop  over) EWR-LAX
Now I get it. So I can see this being fun, but not necessarily how it helps financially unless your goal was to start in JFK and end in LAX. Now you have to get your own ride from CDG-FRA and LAX-JFK.

Google would never have explained it to me as well as the guys here. I know what an OJ is. I couldn't picture how to get all those benefits one RT because I couldn't see how the trip could end anywhere but where you started. I would barely even call the above scenario a RT.

Last Q - does this only work when paying with UA miles or will it work if using partner miles?

Each mileage program has its own unique rules.

OK, tried reading these responses but its not going into my head...

If I am booking:

JFK-WAW-TLV with LOT is 80,000 UA miles. The stop over is 8-10 hours or so... That is easy & simple...

What means a stopover? More than 24 hours? If yes then how can you get that for 80,000 as well?

On international awards, most airlines view any stop of up to 23:59 a "connection," while any stop 24:00 or longer is a "stopover."

On round-trip awards, UA allows a stopover.

You can't. It has to be a RT.

Ok, now I am starting to understand... Just to verify....

If I book a RT mileage ticket for example:

JFK-WAW-TLV
TLV-WAW-JFK

I can stay in Warsaw (both ways?) for 24:00+?

Does it need to be called in or its doable on united.com?

Please clarify

Sheesh.

A round trip entitles you to ONE stopover, i.e. one stay over 24 hours in addition to your destination.

No, not two, not three... ONE.

Eg: JFK-WAW(stop)-TLV(dest)-WAW-JFK.

Ok, thanks for clarifying.. And the stop can be taken on either the outgoing or return.. correct?
What about the booking process? Available to do on united.com or only via phone?

Yes.

Can be done on either; but if it's complicated, you'll have to PUTPAC.

Don't forget that you're not limited to doing the stopover in Warsaw. Assuming the tickets are available, you can do the stopover elsewhere in Europe, N. America, and possibly other areas as well if you can get them to price it out.

Nice redemption!
I hate these redemption's. You get to sit on the EX-europe/TLV flight in couch.

Nice connection on the return, juts 1.5 hours. Much better than the routes on DDMS (although obviously he was trying to show LOT avail.)

Can your stop be completely out of the way? Hypothetically...
JFK-WAW(connection)-ORD(stopover)-TLV-WAW-JFK?
