Nice connection on the return, juts 1.5 hours. Much better than the routes on DDMS (although obviously he was trying to show LOT avail.)
Can your stop be completely out of the way? Hypothetically...
JFK-WAW(connection)-ORD(stopover)-TLV-WAW-JFK?
No.

Where do they draw the line?
Has to be the same region. Otherwise it might be more expensive. Some regions like Hawaii will still be a good deal.

-1. United OJ rules are very murky but they are definitely not region restricted.

I was talking about stopovers.

That you can't do JFK-WAW-ORD-TLV-WAW-JFK.

You can "stop" in JFK for a few months and then "continue" your trip to, say, LAX.

Tacking on a free one way like that is a great way to maximize the value of your miles, especially if you don't need the stopover for the main trip.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

NYC-TLV-NYC-OGG would be just a few thousand miles more than NYC-TLV-NYC.

Ah, okay. Connecting to OGG at the end, not in the middle. Got it. Thanks for explaining.

What about Europe to lax (stop over. But there was a connection in jfk) to jfk dest.
Do they allow that on a RT?

find a good rep and wont be an issue. I did before TLV-EWR-ORD > ORD-LAX-EWR-TLV. wasn't a stopover, only a connection.

did you book the TLV - BKK at the time you booked the rest of your ticket, or after you were back in TLV you add that leg?

if it's not booked together. Are you able to add it on later (after your back at your origin)?

Almost sure he booked it together. Once you're back the trip is completed.
