Does anyone know if I will have issues checking in to a Hyatt in Puerto Rico as an additional guest on a Globalist account who won’t be there?

Just made a points booking for Hyatt house in Tampa, I called to add my friend to the reservation (I will not be joining him) the rep said that he can check in, but if at some point I dont go to the front desk he'll be charged the going rate? Is this something new? Is this enforced? TIA

I called the main Hyatt line, what are the chances of enforcement?

Next time be clearer when you ask the question with who you spoke too, because it makes a difference if it was the hotel (which is what it sounded like you called from the OP) or Hyatt corporate

What's the deal with these HRC time share offers?

I keep getting these offers and I never really wanted to take advantage of it at Hyatt Bonita springs but got a sweet offer for key west.

Friend of mine has done it at Hyatt in Carmel Highlands California.

The thing is in the TOC it says I have to own a home, I don't.

Do they check this stuff out or what? They have been sending me this offers forever.

Need to book an AI for late March or April. Don't know exact dates. If I change the dates will I be charge the new rate for the whole week or just the days that are different?
Say I book 4/12 - 4/18 and change to 4/14 - 4/20. Will I be charged the new rate for 2 days or all 6 days?
It will be 4-5 rooms so talking 96k-120k points if all 6 days.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

If you have extra points laying around, maybe make two separate bookings and cancel one when you get closer?

Points is not an issue.  :)
It will be based on the price of flights. What if I book 10 or 14 days and just cancel the days I don't need? Would it effect the days I keep points wise?

This is a new thing and I have no experience with this so unfortunately, I do not know. I suggest making reservations one night at a time this way it will be an easy fix. Also if you are globalist, reach out to your rep and explain the situation, maybe they can help

Unlike Marriott, Hyatt lets you drop off dates you don't want. So that shouldn't be a problem.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Any updates on this? I have a free night expiring December 31. I'd prefer to have it extended into 2022, but if they're not going to, I'll find a place to use it in the next few weeks.
