Any DP on what Hyatt typically does? They're being pretty stingy
.
There is no set rule. They typically try to offer something equivalent, but dont go out of their way to offer any type of compensation, IME

Had a reservation for andaz Miami Beach and Hyatt just pushed forward the opening date. Very unimpressed with the substitutions they offered... Dream or Hyatt centric...plus 25k points (which is actually the difference in cost as those were cheaper)

The Dream is trash. I would definitely avoid. Was just there in January, probably the smallest hotel room I've ever gotten anywhere.

Thanks! Really not sure what to do because they have no alternative upscale beach locations...

Hi All, I'm a Hyatt Globalist and my unique dilemma is this I have a 6 night stay at Hyatt House Shibuya. I was initially able to secure award availability for a stardard room. But then a suite became available, I had to do the suite as 3 different award reservations as the dates I needed didn't become available all at once. Instead of paying purely in points I'd like to cover the cost of the suite with points and a SUA, MHC is not sure how to make this happen as she is telling me a suite needs to show as available in inventory for her to make this change. Essentially, I have all the parts needed: a standard room, a standard suite, and a SUA but they can't seem to merge it all together. Anyone else here been in a similar situation and had a favorable outcome? I am going to keep the suite regardless but I was thinking about asking MHC if she could credit my account some points to help offset the additional cost since this seems to be more of a system limitation or possibly something she just doesn't know how to do (this is a complicated request so I completely understand if she doesn't know all the intricacies necessary to get the system to carry out this request). Another idea I have is to call the Globalist line, if the person I speak to isn't able to help then I ask to speak to a manager and see if they can help.

Is hyatt blocking close in points bookings ?? Tried five properties in Paris the week of the 16th
Shows a points and euro option but then when selecting, the points options isn't available only cash booking option.
Seems odd

if you see points and cash and its a regroom, you should be able to call and book with only points
